An Arizona native, Letty attended Arizona State University on full president and regent's scholarship, having graduated at the top 1% of her high school class. She graduated magna cum laude and with honors from Arizona State University in May 2002. Letty also earned her law degree from Arizona State University's College of Law in May 2005. She worked for a small law firm in Phoenix, Arizona before she started practicing elder law with a reputable small law firm closer to her home in Chandler, Arizona. In July 2007, Letty earned a contract with the Maricopa County Office of Contract Counsel (now Maricopa County Office of Public Defense Services), serving as a court-appointed attorney for proposed wards in adult guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.
